Ivan's Water Temperature Map
The city of New Orleans ordered evacuation for Ivan as well, which was
another monster storm. (The dark area in the lower right quadrant is
Ivan). The water here was not near as warm as it was this year. Just as
it got to the mouth of the Mississippi River, Ivan made a right turn
and headed for Mobile Bay, sparing New Orleans the brunt of the storm.
